Orbital ATK to add more than 500 high-wage advanced manufacturing jobs over the next five years. The company plans to invest more than $100 million to expand its launch vehicle and satellite components manufacturing facilities, adding more than 200,000 square feet to its existing Chandler campus.
CHANDLER, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Arizona Governor Doug Ducey and Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA), a global leader in aerospace and defense technologies, today announced an expansion of the company's manufacturing operations in Chandler. The expansion will create more than 500 high-wage advanced manufacturing jobs over the next five years. Orbital ATK plans to invest more than $100 million to expand its launch vehicle and satellite components manufacturing facilities, adding more than 200,000 square feet to its existing Chandler campus. "This expansion is a major win for Arizona and a testament to our highly skilled workforce and pro-business environment," said Governor Ducey. Orbital ATK's expansion will support increased production of the company's large composite structures for both commercial and government launch vehicles and satellites. The company's Chandler facilities currently produce large composite structures for a variety of launch vehicles, including the United Launch Alliance Atlas V and Delta IV rockets, and composite components for commercial and government satellites.
